Happy Monday!

A weekend of parties, oh my! I rolled up my fairy sleeves this weekend and baked my ballet flats off. First, strawberry rhubarb pie for a surprise birthday party (the birthday boy's favorite!), and then peanut butter chocolate chip banana bread and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies for a housewarming party. I found adorable mini loaf liners for the banana bread at Surfas, and packaged up take home loaves as gift favors for the fete. Magical!

Flour is scattered about my kitchen like fairy dust as I wait for my dough to rise for a new bread recipe (baguettes for sandwiches, delicious!) and I'm planning lunches for the week to come. The farmer's market and restaurant menus across the city are unveiling their fall fare, and while it's sad to say goodbye to sunny summer tomatoes, I'm thrilled to flutter my wings toward a comfort menu perfect for the season.

Happy Monday to all, and I wish you a delicious week ahead.

Hi! I'm the Lunch Fairy!

Hey gang!

It's me! The Lunch Fairy! Delivering you fresh, delicious and homemade lunches directly to your home or office... or home office! Things are just getting started for me these days but I'll tell you what, they are already going wonderfully! If you're sick of paying a lot of money for a whole bunch of blah then be sick no more for the Lunch Fairy is here!

A typical lunch that a wave of my wand might create would include a sandwich (on fresh baked bread), a soup or salad and a delicious (or nutritious, or both!) treat! All lovingly crafted in my very own kitchen from tried and true recipes that have been warming hearts and tummies for ages.

Now listen up, there is a nasty rumor floating around out there that to get a visit from the Lunch Fairy you just have to put an old sandwich bag under your pillow and voila! Well first of all, that'd be breakfast since you'd be getting it in the morning. Second of all, what do I need with some old sandwich bag? Nopers, how it works is you pay $12 per person per lunch and that includes the ingredients, the cooking and the delivery! Its easiest on my wings if there are more than two people per location, so if you need more lunches I'll knock the price down to $10/person! Crazy? No, Magical!
